ai will beat the market

listening to the podcast, my first milllion, where howard marks said something along the lines of "if you zig when everyone is zigging, you're not going to outperform." meaning you gotta zag when they zig, and vice versa.

thinking how one can do so, i questioned why there isn't already ai that can outperform humans in this investing game.

reinforcement learning has come a long way and excelled humans in areas where i thought it would not be possible in the near future. go is much more complex than chess, but it's still a calculation game, so it wasn't that surprising that a computer can beat a human. although it's super amazing how it reached there. alphastar and openai five beating top human game players is unbelievable ai advancement, and it was many years ago.

now either there must be such an ai that is massively outperforming the market in the game of investing, or should exist very soon when any of those tech giants wanted to. or existing quant trading companies can adopt these technologies for prosperity.
